The top ranked St. Louis Community College men's soccer team continues to take this season day by day and in the process the continue to grow as a team.  On Thursday afternoon on the Flo Valley campus, the defeated a tough MCC-Maple Woods team 4-0, improving to 14-0-0 on the year and more importantly 5-0-0 in Region 16 play.  Josh Graham opened the scoring fifty-five seconds into the match, as he headed a ball off of a Connor Summerhill throw in, to give STLCC the 1-0 lead.  That would be all the Monarchs would allow during the first half, as the Archers were clinging to the one goal lead until the fiftieth minute, when Connor Walters played a ball perfectly across the box that Conor McArthur hammered into the back of the net to extend the lead to 2-0.  McArthur was not finished for the day though, as he scored his fourteenth goal of the year in the seventy-second minute with help from an Eric Habonimana assist.  One minute and thirty-four seconds later, Mattias Tonking played a ball to Habonimana who beat his defender and headed a ball over the goalkeeper to push the score to 4-0 and give the Archers the winner.

Braedan Passalis earned the clean sheet in goal, as he turned away three Monarch shots.  The Archers return to action on Sunday as they travel to State Fair Community College for a 2:00 pm match.  If the Archers can win on Sunday, they will wrap up the MCCAC and Region 16 regular season championships.
