Eduardo Leads Archers Past Crowder

A cold and windy day turned into a hotly contested soccer match at Flo Valley on Tuesday afternoon, as St. Louis Community College defeated Crowder College 2-1 to advance to the Region 16 Championship match.

The Archers got on the board during the sixth minute of the match as Chris Eduardo crossed a ball to the right foot of Conor McArthur, giving the Archers the quick 1-0 lead, on McArthurs seventeenth goal of the season.  Both teams fought the adverse weather conditions the rest of the half as the Archers took a 1-0 lead into the half.  Crowder evened the match at 1-1 in the sixty-first minute, as Musa Kamara evened the score on an unassisted goal.  The Archers scored twelve minutes later as Chris Eduardo notched his eleventh goal of the season to give the Archers the 2-1 lead, Savino Livornese assisted on the goal.

The Archers will return to the Flo Valley pitch on Saturday afternoon for a 2:00 pm Region 16 title match vs. Jefferson College.  Bring your jackets and come pack the hill!
