STLCC Blanks Crowder in Region 16 Victory

The St. Louis Community College men's soccer team has entered into the thick of Region 16 play and on Saturday afternoon the Archers moved to 2-0-0 in Region play and to 9-0-0 on the season, with a 3-0 victory over Crowder College on the Flo Valley campus.  With the victory, the Archers have run their unbeaten regular season streak to twenty-eight matches and are currently ranked 6th in the country.  

Justin Ernst gave the Archers a 1-0 lead during the eighth minute of the match, his second goal of the year, off an assist from Connor Walters.  Noah Vezzu scored his third goal of the year during the thirteenth minute of the match to push the STLCC lead to 2-0, as he found himself wide open in front of the net off an assist from Chris Eduardo.  During the second half, both teams stayed off the scoreboard until the eighty-eighth minute when Conor McArthur scored his tenth goal of the year on a penalty kick to push the score to 3-0 and wrapping up the scoring on the day.  

Braedan Passalis collected five saves in goal to collect his second full match clean sheet on the season, and the fourth clean sheet on the year for the Archers. St. Louis Community College returns to action on Tuesday afternoon at 4:15 pm against Jefferson College, in a Region 16 tilt at Florissant Valley.
