The only thing hotter than the St. Louis Community College offense during a twenty minute stretch of the first half, was the temperature in St. Louis, as the Archers dropped a four spot the last twenty minutes of the half in route to a 5-0 victory over Cincinnati State on Friday afternoon.  The second ranked Archers improved to 11-0 on the season and in the process extended their regular season unbeaten streak to thirty matches, dating back to the 2015 season.

Mattias Tonking got the scoring going for STLCC in the twenty-fourth minute, as he found the back of the net off a Noah Vezzu assist, to give the Archers a 1-0 lead.  The thirty-eighth minute was the magic minute for St. Louis as Connor Summerhill dropped two balls past the Surge goalkeeper within twenty-three seconds of each other, both goals were assisted by Conor McArthur, giving the Archers a 3-0 lead.  Connor Walters did not want to be the only Connor left off the scoring sheet for the Archers, so he found a way to get a goal twenty-three seconds before the half as Vezzu picked up his second assist of the match, giving STLCC the 4-0 lead at the half.  During the seventieth minute, Vezzu put the finished touches on the match with an unassisted goal, pushing the lead to 5-0.  Braedan Passalis and Scott Caraway combined for the clean sheet in net for STLCC, with Passalis notching two saves and Caraway securing three saves in the victory.

The Archers return to action on Sunday afternoon with a 2:00 pm match against the Central Methodist JV team, the match will be played on the Flo Valley campus.
