The sixth ranked St. Louis Community College men's soccer team traveled across the Missouri River to take on St. Charles Community College on Thursday afternoon and came away with a 4-1 victory, to improve to 7-0 on the season and more importantly 1-0 in Region 16 and MCCAC action. Noah Vezzu put the Archers on the board in the fifteenth minute as he finished a perfect pass from Chris Eduardo in the box to find the back of the net. Six minutes later, Junior Yabwana headed in a cross from the right corner off the foot of Connor Walters to give STLCC the 2-0 lead. After a St. Charles goal, Conor McArthur scored in the thirty-eighth minute, as he followed up an Eduardo shot with the tap in goal staking the Archers to a 3-1 lead at the half. In the second half, Justin Ernst scored as Josh Graham crossed a ball that Savino Livornese redirected, giving the Archers the final goal on the afternoon and finishing the scoring at 4-1.
The Archers get some rest until Monday as they welcome nineteenth ranked Lewis & Clark Community College to the Florissant Valley campus for a 4:00 pm start, the match will be part of a women's and men's doubleheader with the women playing at 2:00 pm. STLCC has now gone unbeaten in the past twenty-six regular season matches, dating back to the 2015 season.
