The St. Louis Community College men's soccer team has had quite a run in the past two seasons, two MCCAC and Region 16 regular season titles, a Region 16 Championship, becoming the number one ranked team in the NJCAA and a thirty five match regular season unbeaten streak.  The last team to defeat STLCC in the regular season was SWIC during the 2015 season and on Thursday afternoon it looked for a bit like SWIC might end that streak, until the second minute of the first overtime, when Conor McArthur netted the golden goal, giving the Archers the 1-0 victory.

In what was a physical match, that saw thirty-one fouls called and seven cards handed out like Halloween candy, the Archers outshot the Blue Storm sixteen to three, with only six shots on goal.  Braedan Passalis improved to 15-0 in goal on the year, as he collected the clean sheet.  The Archers lead the NJCAA in shutouts with eleven on the year.

STLCC improves to 16-0-0 and return to action on Saturday afternoon at MCC-Blue River for a 2:00 pm Region 16 match.
