THe Flo Valley campus was hot and humid on Tuesday afternoon, but that could not slow down the STLCC offense as they scored three first half goals enroute to a 4-0 victory over rival Jefferson College to extend their unbeaten regular season streak to twenty-nine matches.  The Archers, who earlier in the day moved up to number two in the country according to the new NJCAA polls, fired off twenty-eight shots, sixteen of which were on goal, while holding Jefferson to eleven shots and seven on goal.

Sophomore Chris Eduardo opened the scoring for STLCC six minutes and four seconds into the match, as he a took an errant pass from the Vikings goalkeeper and had an open path to the back of the net staking the Archers to a 1-0 lead.   Seven minutes later, Mattias Tonking scored his first goal on the afternoon by following up on a loose ball off an Eduardo shot, to give the Archers a little breathing room at 2-0.  Before the Archers could get it going offensively again, sophomore goalkeeper Braedan Passalis, made three acrobatic saves to keep the visitors off the scoreboard and preserve the two goal lead.  In the thirty-sixth minute, the Archers scored what might have been their prettiest goal of the year, as Eric Habonimana drove the ball into the box on the right side and crossed the ball to Tonking who quickly touched the ball to Conor McArthur to collect his eleventh goal of the year, giving the Archers a 3-0 lead at the half.

After a mostly quiet second half, Tonking found the back of the net for the second time on the afternoon after Chad Abrams dribbled the ball from the right corner to just inside the box and dished to a streaking Tonking for the final goal on the afternoon and giving the Archers the 4-0 victory.  Passalis recorded seven saves for his third clean sheet of the year, and the sixth overall for the Archers.

St. Louis Community College moves to 10-0-0 on the season and returns to action on Friday afternoon at 4:15, as they welcome Cincinnati State to the Flo Valley campus.
