First Half Goals Bring Home a Title

In a match that had more implications on seeding at the national tournament next week than anything else, the STLCC men's soccer team stayed perfect on the season at 22-0-0 with a 3-1 victory over Illinois Central College.  Chris Eduardo got the Archers on the board 10:09 seconds into the match as he found the back of the net off an assist from Noah Vezzu, making it 1-0.  Eduardo hammered home a penalty kick fifteen minutes and six seconds later to give the Archers some breathing room at 2-0, the goals were Eduardos twelfth and thirteenth goals of the year.  With two minutes and forty six seconds remaining in the first half, Josh Graham used his head for his sixth goal of the year as he played a perfect cross from Eduardo in front of the box to push the lead to 3-0 heading into the half.  After halftime, ICC needed only two minutes and twenty-five seconds to get on the board when David Galic connected on a penalty kick to cut the lead to 3-1.

The top ranked Archers and Cougars, both will head to Prescott, Arizona next weekend for the NJCAA D1 Men's national tournament.
