Men's Soccer Ties Lincoln Land 2-2

The St. Louis Community College men's soccer team played a man down for more than fifty-three minutes on Monday afternoon, at STLCC-Meramec, gutted out a 2-2 tie with Lincoln Land Community College.  The Archers scored first on a goal by sophomore Matt Schneider, off an assist from sophomore Casey Bartlett-Scott, fourteen minutes into the match and then fifteen minutes later when freshman Harrison Weeks scored off an assist from another first year player, Connor Summerhill.  

The Archers played tough in the second half, and through two ten minute overtime periods, down a man.  They had pressure on the offensive side of the field throughout the overtime periods, but could not get an elusive third goal.  The Archers, who now travel to Region 16 foe East Central on Friday afternoon for a 4:00 pm kickoff, are 5-0-2 on the season.
