Archers Roll A Lucky Seven vs. KCC

The St. Louis Community College men's soccer team started Mondays match vs. Kankakee Community College fast and furiously to set the pace for a 7-3 victory.  Michael Maldonado score an unassisted goal one minute into the match and Chidera Ude followed up with another goal, assisted by Adam Du Toit, three minutes later to give the Archers a 2-0 lead within four minutes.  Du Toit recorded his second goal of the season during the twenty-third minute of action and Ude added his second goal of the game in the thirty-eigth minute, off of another assist from Du Toit, to help the Archers to a 4-2 advantage at the half.  

The scoring in the second half continued for the Archer eleven with returning NJCAA All-American Dillon Smith notching his first goal of the year during at the fifty minute mark, assisted by Dion Lewis-Kirwan.  Ude notched two more goals to close the scoring for the Archers during the fifty-ninth minute, assisted by Du Toit, and with an unassisted goal in the seventy-ninth minute  of play.

After two match the Archers (2-0-0) are paced by Ude's five goals and Adam Du Toit who has two goals and five assists.

STLCC was able to empty the bench during the non-region match and give the starters some rest heading into the Thursday matchup with Southwestern Illinois College.  That match starts at 4:15 pm on the Meramec campus.
