Archers Blank Central Methodist 6-0

The 19th ranked men's soccer team in the NJCAA took to the pitch on Sunday afternoon to face the Central Methodist University JV and came away with 6-0 victory on the Meramec campus.  The Archers got a shutout from Tyler DeMoulin in the net with four saves.  

Casey Bartlett-Scott got the Archers on the board first in the sixteenth minute, on an unassisted corner kick, as he bent the ball from the left corner into inside of the goal.  Dillon Smith and Chidera Ude scored first half goals, both goals were assisted by Michael Maldonado to give the Archers a 3-0 lead heading into the half.  The second half started quickly for STLCC, as Dion Lewis-Kirwan netted a penalty kick five minutes into the second half.  Matt Schneider, assisted by Casey Bartlett-Scott, and George Agai, assisted by Connor Summerhill, added second half goals to give the Archers the 6-0 win.

St. Louis Community College returns to the Meramec campus on Wednesday at 4:30 to face Missouri Baptist JV.  

Mike Duffy's Bar & Grill Play of the match: Dion Lewis-Kirwan's penalty kick in the 50th minute, which was promptly followed by a back flip that scored a 10 by all three judges, including his hometown judge from London.
