Archers Wrap Up Region XVI Regular Season Championship

The eleventh ranked St. Louis Community College Men's Soccer team wrapped up the regular season Region XVI Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 3-1 victory over MCC Blue River, on the Meramec campus.  

The Archers got on board first, when Chidera Ude notched his tenth goal of the season of an assist from Dion Lewis-Kirwan and added to the first half lead when Chris Eduardo knocked home a penalty kick to give the Archers a 2-0 lead heading into the half.  Blue River tallied a goal to close the deficit to one, but Edurado answered back on his second goal of the match, assisted by Michael Maldonado to make the final 3-1 in favor of the good guys.  Tyler DeMoulin collected his tenth win of the season in net, as he saved seven shots on the afternoon.

With the victory, the Archers improve to 15-0-2 on the season and assure themselves home field advantage throughout the Region XVI tournament which starts on Saturday October 22nd at 2:00 pm on the Meramec campus versus State Fair College.
