Archers Advance With 4-1 Victory Over State Fair

The St. Louis Community College Men's Soccer team continued their drive for a Regional Championship on Saturday afternoon on the Meramec campus, with a 4-1 victory over State Fair Community College.  

The Archers defensively gave up only three shots in the ninety minutes, and fired off forty shots, twenty two of which were on goal.  STLCC got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the twenty-second minute from Adam Du Toit, assisted by Chidera Ude and Michael Maldonado.  Du Toit found the back of the net again thirty nine seconds later on an assist from Connor Summerhill.  After a State Fair goal at the end of the first half, Chris Eduardo added an unassisted goal in the fifty-fifth minute, and Dillon Smith added a goal in the seventy-fifth minute, on an assist from Casey Bartlett-Scott to finish the scoring. 

The Archers improved to 16-0-2, and are currently ranked at number nine in the latest NJCAA poll. STLCC returns to the pitch on the Meramec campus in Semi-final Region XVI action vs. East Central College at 2:00 pm on Tuesday October 25th.
