Archers Capture Region XVI Tournament 3-1 Over Crowder

The St. Louis Community College Men's Soccer team continued their strong run through Region XVI on Saturday afternoon on the Meramec campus, with a 3-1 victory over Crowder College to capture the Region XVI tournament championship.  

Dion Lewis-Kirwan scored the first goal of the match one minute and twenty five seconds after the start, on an assist from Chris Eduardo.  Crowder answered with a goal of there own one minute and twenty four seconds later.  The Archers did not blink as Harrison Weeks connected on his fourth goal of the week on a header, with the assist from Connor Summerhill.  The Archers at this point, dug their cleats in the turf and played stellar defense and got some breathing room when Dillon Smith found the right foot of Chidera Ude, who gave STLCC some breathing room with a goal in the seventy-fifth minute.  

The seventh ranked Archers, advance to the Central District Championship match Saturday afternoon at Parkland College for a 2:00 pm start.  The winner of the District Championship advances to the NJCAA National Championship in Tyler, TX.
