Schneider Leads STLCC to Shutout Victory

The STLCC men's soccer team traveled to Godfrey, IL to take on the reigning District Champions at Lewis & Clark Community College.  The Archers came away with a 3-0 victory to up their record to 5-0-0 on the season.  Coach Tim Mosby was pleased with the effort his men gave, "We played great team D and shutout a good soccer team."  

After a scoreless first half, the Archers got on the scoreboard four minutes into the second half on Adam Du Toit's sixth goal of the season, on an assist by Chidera Ude, to take a 1-0 lead.  Matt Schneider picked a great time to get his first goals of the season and give the Archers some breathing room by scoring two in the 59th and 74th minutes of the match, Mike Maldonado assisted on the first Schneider goal and Michael York assisted on the second.

Kallum Lunn recorded his second shutout of the season, as he saved seven Trailblazer shots.

The Archers return to the pitch on Friday afternoon in a Region 16 matchup vs. St. Charles Community College at 4:30 pm.
