Archers Fall To #6 North Central

The STLCC men's basketball team fell at home to #6 North Central Missouri College on Saturday, February 22.  In their final Region XVI game before the regional tournament in Jefferson City, MO, the Archers stayed within striking distance early and trailed 39-30 at the half.  In the second half, the Pirates from NCMC pulled away, outscoring STLCC 49-36 to come away with an 88-66 win to spoil Sophomore Day for the Archers. 

Mardareyon Clark had a monster game for STLCC, scoring 28 points and pulling down 10 rebounds for a double-double.  Sophomore Jean Alexis also notched ten points in the loss.

The Archers hosted Bryant & Stratton College on Sunday, February 23 and fell by a score of 70-58.  STLCC finished the regular season at 13-16 overall and 1-3 in Region XVI play.  The Archers will be the #2 seed in the upcoming Region XVI Tournament in Jefferson City, MO.  STLCC will take on Metropolitan in the Region XVI Semifinals on Friday, February 28 at 8:00pm.  The winner of Friday's game will take on North Central for the Region XVI Championship on Saturday, February 29 at 8:00pm.
