The STLCC men's basketball team came away with a key victory over Region XVI opponent Metropolitan CC on Saturday, February 15.  Saturday's game was tightly played in the first half and MCC took a 3 point lead going into halftime.  In the second half, the Archers tightened things up defensively and were able to outscore the Wolves 41-19, leading to a 72-53 victory.

Mardareyon Clark led STLCC in scoring with 16 points and also led the team with nine rebounds against MCC.  Three other Archers were also able to score in double figures, including David Jones (12 points), Tyrail Trussell (10 points) and Ahian Barnett (10 points).

With the win over MCC, STLCC improved to 13-13 overall and 1-2 in Region XVI play.  The Archers returned to action on Monday, February 17 and fell to #6 Mineral Area College by a score of 100-58.  STLCC will be back in action on Saturday, February 22 at home against #1 North Central Missouri College.  Saturday's contest is scheduled to tip at 3:00pm.
