Archers Defeat Lindenwood-Belleville on the Road

The STLCC men's basketball team came away with a road victory on Tuesday, January 15 at Lindenwood University - Belleville.  The Archers only held a five point lead at halftime, but were able to outscore the Lynx 35-22 in the second half of play.  Tuesday's win was STLCC's seventh of the season and snapped a three game skid.  

Jordan Channels led the charge offensivley for the Archers, scoring 15 points.  Also scoring in double figures for STLCC were Sterling Wooten (14 points) and Charles James (11 points).  Darius Riley pulled down a team leading eight rebounds and Robyion Hughes recoreded five assists.

With Tuesday's win, STLCC moves one game shy of .500 for the season at 7-8.  The team will be back in action on Wednesday, January 23, when they take on Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO at 7:00pm. 

***The originally scheduled Region XVI matchup against Metropolitan Community College on Saturday, January 19 was postponed due to weather and will now be played on Saturday, January 26 at 3:00pm.
