The STLCC men's basketball team improved to 4-1 on Wednesday night with a 78-53 victory over the Blackburn College JV team. Defensively, the Archers forced 16 turnovers and outrebounded Blackburn 32-18 enroute to the home court victory. Raushaun Amos paced the Archers with 14 points, including hitting on 4 of his 5 attempts beyond the three point arc. Maurice Golden and Dominique Loyd both chipped in 10 points, with Golden pulling down a team high 6 rebounds. Marquis Pepper and Cameron Lockett both added 3 assists in the victory.
The Archers return to action on Saturday afternoon with a 1 pm match-up with ASU-Mid South, the game is a rematch of last seasons District championship game, which saw STLCC win.
