The STLCC Baseball team had a successful weekend, winning three out of four games against Region 16 opponent Jefferson College. The series began at St. Louis Community College, where the Archers showed strong pitching and timely hitting. In game one, starting pitcher Ethan Smith pitched six solid innings, giving up only five hits and two earned runs while striking out 11. Zach Hoffman came in to close the game, earning his first save of the season. The Archers' offense came alive in the fourth inning, scoring five runs to secure the win. Game two was a tight battle, with Bryce Lewis pitching seven strong innings for the Archers. The game remained tied until the eighth inning when Dylan Block walked off the game with a three-run homer to secure the win for the Archers.

The series continued at Jefferson College on Saturday, where the Archers once again showed strong pitching. Connor Jackson pitched five innings, allowing only two runs and striking out six. The Archers' offense came alive in the seventh inning, scoring five runs to take the lead. However, game two did not go in the Archers' favor, as they struggled against the Vikings' hitters, giving up 12 runs.

Overall, it was a successful weekend for the Archers, and they are looking forward to their next Region 16 series against St. Charles Community College.
