Connor Cline ensured a series split against State Fair on Saturday after by completely dominated the Roadrunner lineup, in leading STLCC to a 1-0 victory in the opener before State Fair took the nightcap 10-0.

Game 1

In his first extended outing of the spring, Cline struck out 13 batters and did not allow a hit in six innings of work.  Austin DesRoche worked his way out of a bases loaded jam with one in the 7th inning to secure his 3rd save of the season.  Offensively the Archers punched out 8 hits, but could not put up a run until the bottom of the 5th inning when Jackson Boschert singled to rightcenter with 2 outs and Andrew Dupont followed that up with a double down the leftfield line to score Boschert from first base to score the games lone run.  Boschert and Nick DeBeer each collected 2 hits on the day.

Game 2

State Fair scored 5 runs in the top of the 1st inning and the Archers could not get anything going offensively as they were handcuffed by the Roadrunners Jake McMahill.  DeBeer collected the only Archer hit on the day and Matthew Blake took the loss on the mound to fall to 3-3 on the year.
