Archers Split at Jefferson

Saturday was a tale of two games, as the Archers traveled to Jefferson College and came away with a split, winning the opener 10-1, but falling in the second game 9-1.  The Archers are now 18-18 on the season.

Game 1

Jackson Keller took the ball for the Archers in the opener and delivered his best outing of the season, allowing only one earned run, while striking out five hitters in six innings of work to move to 3-1 on the year.  Tony Rask led the way at the plate, going 3-4 with three doubles, two runs scored and driving in two runs.  Jackson Boschert, Jack Kane, Nick DeBeer, Jeff Huser and Austin DesRoche each had two hits a piece in the victory, with DesRoche driving in two runs and scoring two of his own. 

Game 2

Nick Wiley got the start on the mound in the nightcap and took the loss, falling to 2-2 on the season.  Chase Jones drove in the lone run for STLCC, scoring Huser in the seventh inning.
