Archers Drop a Pair to Jefferson

The St. Louis Community College Baseball team dropped a pair of games to visiting Jefferson College on Thursday afternoon, falling in the opener 10-0 and 11-7 in the nightcap.  The losses drop the Archers to 17-17 on the year and they travel on Saturday to Jefferson to complete the series.

Game 1

The Archers could not get much going in the opener, as Simon Desnoyer and Chase Jones collected the only hits in the game for STLCC.  Connor Cline took the loss on the mound to fall to 2-1 on the year, as he struck out 6 hitters in six and two-thirds innings of work.  

Game 2

The Archers found themselves in an early hole, but clawed their way back into the game, before falling in the nightcap.  Tony Rask and Jeff Huser each led the way at the plate, as they both had a double and a home run, while scoring two runs and driving in two, Rask had three hits in game two.  Jackson Boschert and Clayton Stephens each doubled in the loss.  Jack Kane took the loss on the mound, falling to 2-4 on the year while striking out seven hitters in three and two-thirds innings.
