DesRoche and Rask named to the Region XVI second all-region team.
Austin DesRoche is a sophomore from Eureka H.S in Eureka, Mo. DesRoche was an outstanding closer for the Archers this season. When he was not one the mound, he was plugging the gap at short stop. He lead the Archers on the mound with 15 appearances, 7 saves, averaged 10 strikes per 7 innings only allowed 15 hits, 6 runs with 5 being earned, 25 strike outs and a 1.99 ERA. While at short stop, he lead the team with 85 assists and a .938 fielding percentage. For his outstanding defensive performance he was also named to the Region XVI All-Defensive Team.
Tony Rask is a freshman from Oakville H.S in St. Louis, Mo. Rask was a force to be reckoned with at the plate. He scored 42 runs with 49 hits, 9 doubles, 3 triples, 4 homeruns, 34 RBI's and finished the season with a .308 batting average.
The Archers finished the season with a 27-26 record.
