St. Louis Community College's Archers showcased their dominance in the Region 16 Tournament at Mineral Area College, going undefeated and securing their 7th consecutive Region 16 Championship.
In their first game against East Central College, the Archers got off to a strong start, scoring early runs and maintaining their lead throughout the game. Pitcher Aaralyn Ranck's solid performance and key plays from Keira Chrisco and Cece Mora contributed to their 4-2 victory.
In the second game, which was suspended due to a thunderstorm, St. Louis Community College was leading 3-1 against Moberly Area Community College. Abby Bellamy and Natalee Watts made significant contributions, while Aaralyn Ranck continued her strong pitching.
The championship game against Moberly Area Community College saw the Archers deliver a dominant 8-0 performance. Pitchers Lily Hurley and Jaden Howard combined for a shutout, while Keira Chrisco led the offense with two hits and two RBIs.
Overall, St. Louis Community College's strong pitching and hitting performances led them to their impressive 7th consecutive Region 16 Championship. They will now advance to the NJCAA DII Central District Tournament at Parkland College, where they will face Danville Community College on Friday, May 10th at 12:10 PM.
