The Lady Archers returned home 2-0 after traveling to Memphis, TN on Saturday, September 29 and Senatobia, MS on Sunday, September 30. On Saturday, STLCC defeated Southwest Tennessee CC by a score of 2-0. Haylie Woodard (assisted by Madison Gann), and Maggie Tovar (unassisted) got the game's only goals. Kelly Cates and Libby Modde combined for a shutout in net. On Sunday, the Lady Archers defeated Northwest Mississippi CC by a score of 3-0. Grace van Hoornbeek opened the game's scoring on a setup by Maggie Tovar in the game's first half. STLCC was able to add some insurance in the second half on goals by Madison Gann (assisted by Grace van Hoornbeek) and Kelton Hewett (assisted by Sam Amezcua). Libby Modde shut out Northwest MS to earn her 2nd win of the season.
The weekend sweep improved the Lady Archers' overall record to 6-4. The team will be back in action when they host Region XVI rival St. Charles CC on Tuesday, October 2. Tuesday's match at Meramec is set for a 4:00pm start.
